We couldn’t have dreamt of surpassing our fundraising records in such challenging economic times - but we did. All are inspired by the immense success of this year’s Dream Week – in excess of $600,000 has been raised!

Every year the cosmetic industry and its retail and media supporters generously combine efforts to support our charity Look Good…Feel Better through Dream Week, 7 Days of Hope - a multi faceted initiative hosted for one week in September.

Dream Week enjoys wonderful support from David Jones and Myer receiving a $1 donation from all lipsticks sold in every store in the country. Beautiful Dream Week pins are also sold through select David Jones and Myer Stores. In addition, two kiosks are exclusively set up for the week in Westfield Bondi Junction in Sydney and Chadstone in Melbourne. The kiosks are also information points and sell other beautiful Dream Week merchandise.

This year for the first time we were thrilled to welcome Terry White Chemists as a new Dream Week retail partner – another significant step in the outreach and success of the Dream Week initiative.

Widespread media coverage helped gain greater public awareness of Dream Week this year too - helping us to further raise awareness and funds for Look Good…Feel Better and its free workshops helping cancer patients.

Dream Week culminated in the Dream Ball on Friday 16 September, always a night of fun, beauty and fundraising – the annual event is known as the industry’s ‘must be seen at’ event.

Overlooking the spectacular Sydney Harbour, The Parkside Convention Centre was the ideal location to host this 21st Happy Birthday Dream Ball. A resounding success befitting the occasion, the event was even more fabulous - what a wonderful line up of glamour and entertainment! The Dream Committee surpassed expectations and incredibly provided an enticing line up of fantastic live and silent auction items. And as previously reported, Dream Ball raised over $500,000 this year – what a wonderful testament to the commitment and fund raising for our charity Look Good…Feel Better.
